16 Arlington SS23 London Fashion Week Runway

16Arlington is the ideal representation of cool girl glamour. From feathered dresses to sexily embroidered pieces, the British label founded by Marco Capaldo and Federica Cavenati has become a cult favorite since its inception in 2017. Its Fall/Winter 2022 collection arrived with excitement, as Capaldo paid tribute to his late co-founder and lover who passed away just a few months ago. In May, 16Arlington unveiled its second bridal collection, which reimagined the concept of the traditional bride through powerful silhouettes covered in provocative details.

Now, 16Arlington presents its SS23 collection. Entitled “Forget Me Not”, the range is created with a sense of modern glamour, offering refined womenswear for the unforgettable woman. 16 Arlington co-founder Marco Capaldo continues to pay tribute to his late partner, drawing inspiration from the dusty pink and blue-lilac wildflowers that symbolize “true and everlasting love, devotion and memory.” The bouncy dance music paved the way for the mesmerizing collection to come. 16 Arlington’s usual feathered ensembles were abolished, replaced by stiff shouldered coats and jackets trimmed in satin and jackets scattered in muted pink, cream and black tones. These were teamed with matching tops that held an oversized jacket for an extremely sleek look. The models glowed under the bright lights as they strolled down the corridors of the Army Reserve Center in London.

The collection was engulfed in glitter, as strapless dresses and mini dresses were encrusted with rhinestones, along with low-cut and slit skirts drawn from the ’00s. Models were decked out in luxurious coats, while snakeskin designs seemed to be a hit across the street. The luxe form of snakeskin moved from look to look, gracing high-neck maxi dresses, off-the-shoulder dresses and head-to-toe form-fitting dresses.

As for accessories, clutches mimicked fuzzy cushions and satin, along with boxy bags to match every sequence. Models strutted around in strappy heels that featured a wooden construction, while others sported strappy heels.

Dramatic, sensual and captivating, 16Arlington fulfilled our post-pandemic fantasies consumed by twinkling lights and restless energy.
