How to stop silo thinking and grow your business

1. Accept reality.

Be honest and assess whether you are a flat-growth or high-growth company.

2. Talk to each other.

One of the greatest victories you can achieve is meeting people and building relationships with them.

Make sure you understand their level of understanding and that you are a teacher.

You have to teach.

3. Send out reports and make sure people read them.

Send reports regularly and make it easy to understand images.

4. Preach the gospel internally.

Most people don’t know what it means, so teach them. Company by:

  • Walk stakeholders through reports.
  • Lunch and learn.
  • Giving thanks to people who do good work.
  • Dedicating time to intentional teaching.

5. Celebrate victories publicly.

Tell people they’re doing a good job.

Highlight stories with emails/videos, get them involved in important department updates, or even create swag you can show off!

6. Encourage friendly competition.

Enjoy the experience!

Reward web top performers, high ticket holders, or other simple and cost-effective ways like free lunches, gift cards, and happy hours!

7. Remove the weaknesses of the process.

Look for inefficiencies in your process and eliminate them.

The only algorithm is the wants and needs of your customers.
