Monroe County Executive Adam Bello is urging residents to restrict unnecessary travel due to icy conditions, high winds, downed power lines and trees. There are some intersections without operating traffic lights. Dark traffic signals should be treated as a four-way stop.
Wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour are forecasted to continue and more tree, structures, and power line damage is expected.
Emergency crews, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and utility crews are operating in impacted areas. The Monroe County Office of Emergency Management continues to monitor the situation.
