The Vex Robotics Competition is set for Tech High School on Saturday.

(KNSI) — St. Cloud Tech High School is holding its first robotics competition this weekend.

St. Cloud Tiger Robotics will host 81 teams and participate in the all-day competition on Saturday. The contest is open to the public and free to participate. Robots will take to the venue at 9:30am and the final round will begin at 3:00pm.The tournament will be the first hosted by the school since its inception in 2018.

Every year students are presented with a new exam. They build a robot from the ground up to compete. This year’s tournament is titled VRC Spin Up and looks like robot-based disc golf.

The VX Robotics Program is a national organization that empowers student teams to create solutions using technology, engineering, math, art and communication.
