The Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce has introduced two new Hall of Fame members

QUINCY (WGEM) – Two new inductees have joined the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame list.

The Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting was held today at the Oakley-Lindsay Center. CEO and President Bruce Guthrie C. Directed David Nuss and Carl Richards.

Guterre said that the people who are being elected have not only changed the lives of the people they worked with but also left their mark on the city.

“They’re great leaders, they care about the community and they care about their employees,” Guthrie said. “And that’s one thing I’ve seen is not just about themselves, but giving back to the community, making it a better place and taking care of their employees.”

The two new inductees were honored and now join the 55 Hall of Famers.

Knowing that Nousen would be next to the city’s greatest leaders was something he never thought would happen.

“Being elected mayor in 1977 and re-elected in 1981 was the highlight of my business career, but this is definitely up there and it’s a great honor for me and my family,” Nussen said.
