A 78-year-old driver died in an accident at a business in Glencoe

A Glencoe woman died Saturday morning after the car she was driving crashed into a building on Green Bay Road, according to a release from Glencoe Public Safety.

The 78-year-old man reportedly drove northbound around 10:50 a.m. on Oct. 29 when he cut through traffic and entered the Bien Assorti nail salon near the intersection of Tudor Court at 710 Green Bay Road.

According to the release, the woman — who was the sole occupant of the vehicle and has not yet been identified — was taken to an Evanston hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. An individual inside the business was hospitalized with minor injuries, the release said.

The cause of the accident and the cause of the woman’s death have not yet been released. Glencoe Public Safety did not immediately return messages. The record.
