Fashion met food at an inaugural Fashion Showcase Day celebration at the Harrison County Fairgrounds.
Taste of Decadence Sweets owner Brittany Taylor hosted a party to help small businesses gain exposure and connect with the community.
Taylor said she wanted the community to get involved as much as possible, not only by supporting local businesses, but to have a good time eating and dancing, key ingredients to a good party.
Ten vendors were able to showcase their work while a DJ mixed some tunes. The main attraction of the event was a fashion show. “I absolutely love it. I also do fashion shows and the last one was ten years ago. So I’ve just been working and building and I just got the chance to do that today. I’m nervous, but I’m very excited. It’s long overdue.”
Taylor plans to host the event next year with more businesses involved so everyone can thrive off of each other.
