A technology company trains developers


Amazon has partnered with Macintosh Consulting through its subsidiary Amazon Web Services to provide training to Nigerian developers on its services.

In an event titled ‘Go Cloud With AWS’ attended by Science and Technology Commissioner Hakeem Fahm, the organizers said that the training has created a skill opportunity for the unemployed, underprivileged and technology professionals.

In his speech, the commissioner highlighted the impact of the technology on the situation being implemented by various organizations.

Fahm drew attention to the fact that technology can fuel growth in developing countries and encourage young people to strive to develop themselves and acquire necessary skills.

Six speakers from within and outside Nigeria enlightened the participants on the importance of building on AWS, the importance of AWS in business expansion, development and also building job opportunities.

One of the speakers, Mhlongo Eric, from South Africa, emphasized the quality of service and scalability that AWS provides without the cost of maintaining infrastructure, physical security or electricity.

Speaking at the event, the CEO of Macintosh, Toyin Ifesanya, who has over 15 years of experience in technology, expressed her happiness that young Nigerians are now embracing technology and its exposure is increasing. He asked the government to create a favorable environment for the youth.

Speaking at the event, Mackintosh’s Program Manager Israel Kuti described the relationship with AWS as a fruitful relationship not only for the company but also for the development of the Nigerian technology space.
