The investment round will help local farmers bring their products to market

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia, Aug. 1, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — Azila, a leading food distribution company in Cambodia, announced today that it has received pre-series funding from Incitter Impact Asia Fund II, an investment fund managed by Incitter. Partners.
The company, which works with small farmers and cooperatives across the country to source fresh produce, will use the new funding to grow a sustainable and socially responsible agribusiness network, using technology to supply supermarkets, hotels, restaurants and caterers. Domestic products.

Cambodia currently imports 70 percent of its fresh produce from neighboring countries such as Vietnam and Thailand. Azaila supports the local market by working directly with farmers to improve crop quality, increase yields and access credit.
The investment in Azaila is the ninth in Cambodia for Incitter Partners, a Singapore-based impact fund manager.
