Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas welcomed a baby girl in January 2022 via surrogacy and enjoyed a new phase of parenthood. They named their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, inspired by PeeCee’s mother Dr. Madhumalti Chopra. In a recent interview, the actress’s mother and proud grandmother Dr. Chopra opened up about the parenting process of Priyanka and Nick towards their little angel.
Talking to The New Indian Express, Dr. Madhu Chopra told that she was surprised by learning the name of the baby girl. She said, “I got to know about the name only on the day of the namkaran, and I was so honoured. In our tradition, the paternal grandfather whispers the name, along with words of wisdom, into the baby’s ears. Nick’s dad did those rituals.”
Meanwhile, during the interaction with the portal, the ex-army doctor hinted that the celebrity couple is likely to share the picture of their baby girl once as she turns one. The Desi Girl shared a glimpse of her daughter on Mother’s Day 2022 and mentioned that she is home after 100 days in NICU. And on Father’s Day 2022, Nick too shared a glimpse of his darling daughter on Father’s Day 2022.
Speaking about sharing the equal responsibilities of their baby she said, “Priyanka and Nick already discussed being equally involved as parents. I give a massage and Nick gives her a bath and changes her diapers.” As a caring grandmother, she advised Priyanka regarding the screen timing for the toddler. She was quoted saying, “I told Priyanka, with screen time at such a young age, your daughter will get “mote mote chashma,” though ‘The Sky Is Pink Actor’ has already consulted about the same to the doctor.
Hopefully, the celebrity couple, introduce their daughter soon to the world as fans are eagerly awaiting to her pictures.
