RALEIGH, NC – One-third of families plan to cut back on spending to cover their children’s back-to-school expenses, according to a National Retail Federation survey.
Experts say the No. 1 spender for back-to-school items by parents is electronics.
Technology expert and columnist Jennifer Jolly says laptops and smartphones are essential electronics for students starting around fifth grade.
Vaio laptops are affordable items sold online and at national retail outlets, she said.
