To give these lagers a twist, Cerebral usually ages them in large wooden vessels called foeders, which can lend a touch of oak and a gentle roundness to the way the beer tastes and feels.
To highlight these beers, Cerebral is hosting the first League Lager Fest on Saturday, September 24. “This oak-centric event will feature a variety of barrel-aged and food-fermented lagers spanning many styles,” says the brewery, adding that there will also be non-food-aged lagers like the latest one. released Festbier. There will also be food-friendly pairings with lager from Lady in the Wild Food Truck and German-style pretzels from XLVII Bakery. Admission to the festival, which runs from noon to 10 p.m. at Cerebral Brewing, 1477 Monroe St., in Denver, is free. cerebralbrewing.com – Jonathan Shikes
