Bowling Green Business Women Announces 2023 President

BOWLING GREEN KY (WBKO) – The Business Women of Bowling Green, founded to empower and uplift women, introduced their new president and presented their annual donation to Glory Baby Ministries.

Erin Barber, president of Bowling Green Business Women, said the group is excited about the new opportunities it will have in the coming year.

“Bowling Green Business Women is about networking, so we’re bringing women together to help elevate, empower and connect. So here’s what the new membership has to offer this year, and some new events to help bring everyone together and reflect.” I’m excited to have it on the calendar,” Barber said.

Each year, the organization selects a women-led or non-profit organization that benefits women to donate 10 percent of membership dues. The nonprofit chosen for this donation is Glory Baby Ministry, which creates and delivers comfort packages to families grieving the loss of a child through miscarriage, stillbirth or early infant loss.

“It doesn’t matter when the offense is. If you lost a child 50 years ago, you could ask for a package from us,” said Jessica Heffinger, executive director of Glory Baby Ministries and former president of Bowling Green Business Women. When we went bankrupt in 2010, we didn’t know anything like this. So we said, ‘We want some closure for those families who are grieving those losses 50 years ago.’

Bowling Green Business Women meet every second Thursday of each month at the Bowling Green Country Club for a networking opportunity open to all women, regardless of their affiliation with business. The meeting will start at 11:30

“You don’t even have to own a business or work for a business. You may be a housewife, or you may be a job seeker. If you’re looking for something new, it’s a great place to get a job,” Barber said.
