Research Triangle Park – The Council for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) heads to the prestigious software business conference in September with the Triangle’s top ten tech startups.
“When founders learn from the experiences of other founders, their chances of success increase dramatically,” said Kelly Rowell, CEO at CED. “Founders are the secret sauce of CED’s support programs and are our top priority when designing new engagements for local startups.”

Bill Sproul, an active founder and investor in the Triangle, has generously donated ten tickets to the BoS conference to help local founders connect with resources outside the region. Sproul had a long association with CED, dating back to the 1990s, before founding the tech company. Thanks to CED as an entrepreneur, he is motivated to highlight the organization’s efforts with targeted opportunities for technology founders.
CED welcomes tech executives and startup founders on board, noting the additions are ‘crucial’
“The experience of BoS is compatible with the support provided by CED, so it is a great investment for our regional companies,” says Spruill. “The opportunity to connect founders with peers, share stories of growth and failure, helps them anticipate challenges and build stronger companies.”
CED asked interested companies to fill out an application and based on those answers, selected ten CEOs to participate. they are:
