Collina Strada and Heartdub Drop Digital Fashion

Sustainability pioneers Collina Strada and Heartdub have teamed up to create digital fashion apparel for the metaverse.

Following Collina Strada’s fantastic Spring/Summer 2023 collection GOT MILKWEED?, the New York-based brand has recreated five looks from the show in 2D. Originally presented as part of the brand’s physical line, the garments take inspiration from the ethereal butterfly, prompted by the show’s location, the Brooklyn Greenway, a cemetery transformed into a monarch butterfly reserve. The virtual reproductions are the result of the brand’s partnership with Heartdub, a multinational AI company that. has created a future-leading center of hyper-realistic digital materials, dedicated to reimagining fashion “through digital fabrics and high-precision physics engines”.

Fancy abstract prints adorn statement-making asymmetric dresses paired with high-neck jumpsuits with exaggerated cuffs. Elsewhere, sweetheart plunging necklines make colorful tartan evening dresses look a little demure. while sheer tulle is married to a bright yellow bodice. The star of the show is a voluminous spaghetti strap organza dress covered in a rose-hued floral pattern.
