The Darien Community Association (DCA) is hosting the Sustainable Designer Fashion Show and Sale on Thursday, September 15th!
To focus on DCA Thrift Store’s role as a provider of eco-friendly fashion and resale, DCA will present a sustainable fashion show featuring designer fashions sold in the store. The show will feature local models showcasing clothing styled with items from premium designers including Gucci, Celine, Jil Sander, Valentino and Prada, as well as many contemporary labels such as Rag & Bone, Mother and Helmut Lang.
This event will be held at the Darien Community Association located at 274 Middlesex Road. All attendees will receive a door prize to win a Jimmy Choo handbag. A special raffle with other designer bags will also be part of the event. Raffle tickets are available for purchase at the DCA Thrift Shop, 966 Boston Post Road, Darien, beginning August 30 as well as at the show. Raffle tickets are $10 each or 3 for $20.
“The fashion show provides us with a great opportunity to showcase the high quality clothing and accessories we sell in store. With resale becoming more and more popular, the time was right for us to spotlight the Thrift Shop as a great place to go to find sustainable fashion,” said Deb Danile, Thrift Shop Manager.
Donation Update:
The DCA Thrift Store will not be able to accept donations of fall or winter clothing until September. We appreciate the overwhelming number of donations from the community and your patience as our volunteers work to sort and organize them.
