Bodhi AI, an edtech startup based in Hyderabad, has raised $200K from Marwari Angels (MAAN), Founders Angel Network (FAN), JIIF Shark Angels (JSA), UIncept, Ivy Growth and POD. Angel investors Harsh Pokharna and Bola Meena participated in this round.

The capital will be used to help teachers expand their student base and grow their online income.

Prashant Pandey and Piyush Agarwal co-founded Bodhi AI, which connects teachers and students digitally and in person to refine questions and provide technology solutions to teachers and educational institutions.

It also allows professors to give courses, and the company claims it has a million users. Skoolstream, a Kota-based edtech business, was acquired by a Jaipur-based company in March 2022. The startup competes with Teachmint, which has raised $78 million, and ClassPlus, which has raised roughly $80 million in $600 million.

While edtech startup funding has slowed, acquisitions and funding have continued. Upgrad has emerged as a leading buyer in edtech mergers and acquisitions. This year, the company has acquired seven companies, followed by three acquisitions of Physix Wallah and Unacademy for an undisclosed amount.
