Everything you need to know about New York Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2023


Today the Council of Fashion Designers of America, in partnership with IMGhas released the schedule for its Spring 2023 New York Fashion Week collections. The shows will begin on September 9 Lazarus Hernandez AND Jack McCollough e Proenza Schouler, who are celebrating the brand’s 20th anniversary this year. Opening on the schedule perhaps officially cements their status as a New York institution.

A diverse calendar

This year, CFDA is celebrating an anniversary of its own, its 60th anniversary, and the diverse designers on the schedule this season reflect its commitment to supporting and elevating American talent, while reiterating that New York remains a vital part of the global fashion industry.

Earlier this month, Fendi announced that it will hold a special show on the evening of September 9, celebrating its 25th anniversary Fendi Baguette and Kim JonesSecond year as artistic director of fashion and womenswear. We are looking forward to seeing the new 2021 collections CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists whose diverse voices and creativity will positively add to the energy of the week.”

The seven finalists—that is Fe Noel, Sukeina, Elena Velez, Judy Turner, Wiederhoeft, Knitting for Black BoyAND No gender (which has the second slot of the week, right after Proenza Schouler)-will have special showcases throughout the week and are sure to be among the highlights of the season. Ukrainian label bevza will make one more appearance at NYFW, with a slot on the afternoon of September 13th. Strangely missing from the schedule (so far) Telfaralthough the designer is known for always doing things his own way in his own time. Tom Ford will close the season again with its show on September 14 at 8:00 p.m. The excitement is certainly back in New York City this season. We can’t wait.
