Michigan State University and its extensive College of Business are home to students who come from all over the world and bring their unique backgrounds with them – but not all make the trip with the same frequency. Spartan aspiring Frank Cano Aristondo travels from Peru to East Lansing every month to be part of the Executive MBA program.
Kano has over ten years of experience in supply chain management and project management under his belt. He completed his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and his master’s degree in supply chain management in Peru and abroad in Spain. Working in 10 countries in Latin America, his long-term professional goal is to become regional manager of a top multinational company whose competitive advantage is supply chain.
He had previously focused on developing his technical skills, but found that the EMBA would put him on the path to becoming a regional manager, giving him the skills to transition from supply chain to general management. Cano was convinced that MSU would be the place to make this change and became the first student from Peru to become part of the EMBA program by participating in the Flex option.
