“Let’s begin this bulletin with the trailer of Salaam Venky, starring Kajol, which just dropped. The film focuses on a mother who fights through every challenge her ailing son faces and helps him live life to the fullest.

The trailer is bittersweet, with moments of laughter and tears, as Kajol sets about trying to make her son’s life memorable.

“There’s an on-screen line which Kajol cannot cross— it involves stories of children suffering. Kajol says when actor-turned-filmmaker Revathy approached her with her latest directorial Salaam Venky, a film about a mother and her ailing son, her instinct was to turn it down.

Kajol said when the film came her way—written by Sammeer Arora and Kausar Munir—she thought the story was every parent’s “worst nightmare”. She said, “I refused the film for three days. I was like, ‘I am not doing this film, I don’t want to do a film in which anything happens to my children.’ I cannot handle that. It’s every parent’s worst nightmare, you wouldn’t even wish this on your enemy, it’s that kind of a situation.””

“Filmmaker Revathy’s latest directorial Salaam Venky has a lot of surprises in store, the biggest being a cameo by superstar Aamir Khan. Revathy said Khan, last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, took no time to board the project in a role the makers will guard until the film’s release on December 9.

At the trailer launch, Revathy said, “Aamir said he just wanted to read his scenes. I sent him those scenes. He read the scenes and said, ‘I am doing it. It was just over the phone. Then we had a film narration. It’s written so well, so beautifully by Sammee and Kausar. Aamir said I won’t change a single word, I’ll just do the film’,” “
“Meanwhile,

Taare Zameen Par actor Darsheel Safary is all set to make a comeback with the short film Capital A small a. The short film, also starring Revathi Pillai in the lead role, is all set to release on November 17 on Amazon mini tv.

The trailer of Capital A small a conjures up stills of a sweet adolescent love affair between Aadi played by Darsheel and Aanshi, played by Revathi, and also makes you feel the tingle of a first crush. Additionally, it discusses teenagers’ insecurities and fears and how they affect them. The film is directed and co-written by Sumit Suresh Kumar along with Gaurav Joshi.

Darsheel was last seen in the film adaptation of Midnight’s Children, which was released in 2012. “
“Three films of Dadasaheb Phalke awardee Asha Parekh will be screened as a retrospective at the upcoming edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), which will also felicitate Spanish filmmaker Carlos Saura with the lifetime achievement honour.

The 53rd edition of the film gala will take place from November 20 to 28 at Panaji in Goa.

Teesri Manzil, Do Badan and Kati Patang are the three favourite of her movies that Asha Parekh herself suggested, said National Film Development Corporation of India managing director Ravinder Bhakar said on Monday. He is also the director of the National Film Archive of India.

To mark 50 years of Manipur in cinema, five Manipuri films will also be showcased.

“In other news,

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has kickstarted the shoot of the film Fighter, also starring Deepika Padukone in the lead role. Marflix Productions, which is bankrolling Fighter, shared a picture of Hrithik and director Siddharth Anand on its Instagram handle. The caption of the photo read, “And it begins….#FIGHTER.”

In the picture, Hrithik and Siddharth are seen posing in front of a plane.

Earlier, during an IFFI 2021 interaction, Siddharth Anand had opened up about working with Hrithik Roshan and said, “There’s nothing else that a director can ask for from an actor that Hrithik can’t give you.””

Siddharth and Hrithik had earlier collaborated on the 2019 film War.

Fighter will release on January 25, 2024.

“In his two-decade-long career in cinema, actor Abhishek Bachchan has tried to dabble in various genres and mediums of work. Recently, he spoke about his journey, one of his earlier films, Drona.

Speaking to Galatta Plus, the actor revealed that Drona, which was a flop at the time and failed to impress both audience and the critics at large, was liked by superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

He said, “”I remember Shah Rukh wrote me the sweetest letter, that very night, he went home and wrote me a letter about how much he enjoyed the film. Because he loves VFX, and I think he was at that point conceptualizing Ra. One I think. He said we need to start pushing boundaries”””
