“Let’s begin this bulletin with news on veteran actor Asha Parekh, who has been selected for the Dadasaheb Phalke award for the year 2020 and will be handed the award at the National Film Awards ceremony held in New Delhi on Friday.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said, “The Dadasaheb Phalke Selection Jury has decided to recognise and award Asha Parekh for her contribution to Indian Cinema.”

On the occasion, Thakur also announced that the 68th National Film Awards ceremony will be presided over by President Droupadi Murmu.

The Dadasaheb Phalke Award is the country’s highest award in the field of cinema and has been given to Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan and Vinod Khanna in recent years.”
“Kriti Sanon, Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan’s epic drama Adipurush’s teaser and poster of the movie will be unveiled on October 2.

The poster and teaser will be launched on the bank of Saraayu in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya. The event will be attended by the stars of Adipurush, Kriti and Prabhas. They will be accompanied by director Om Raut and producer Bhushan Kumar.

Kriti took to social media to share the news and wrote, “Beyond excited! It’s all finally happening. Can’t wait for you all to finally witness this journey.”

The film is said to be an adaptation of the Ramayan and has Prabhas play Lord Ram, with Saif playing Ravan, and Kriti playing Sita. It will release on January 12, 2023.

“Alia Bhatt is one of the recipients of the TIME 100 Impact awards in 2022. In a year when she has had many wins, on the professional and personal front, this is another feather in her cap. Alia was recently seen in the hit film Brahmastra, alongside her husband Ranbir Kapoor and this is one of the many hits that she has had this year.

Talking to TIME, she said, “I’ve had some of my biggest releases this year. And I’ve found myself behaving very, very differently with each release—something that I was very surprised by. Way more calm, way more collected, way more resigning to my destiny and to fate.””

Alia was last seen in Brahmastra alongside Ranbir Kapoor.”
“Meanwhile,

As Ranveer Singh inaugurated FICCI Frames Fast Track 2022 in Mumbai on Tuesday, he took the opportunity to share his experience of watching Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, featuring Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Mouni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Shah Rukh Khan and others. The actor said, “I thoroughly enjoyed the Brahmastra experience. A big round of applause for my friends who have created Brahmastra, the Astraverse, a fantastic big-screen offering. It is nothing like we’ve seen in Hindi cinema and I really appreciate the efforts of my friends for putting it out there.”

Ranveer was last seen in Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and has films like Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus, and Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani to look forward to. “
“In other news,

Actor Rahul Bose took to Twitter and expressed his fury at Vistara airlines. However, he accidentally tagged a woman of the same name, who later modified her bio’. Rahul shared his disappointing experiences on the micro-blogging site, saying that he was not able to find lounge access at the Ahmedabad airport, and complained about tasteless food.

Rahul wrote, “Apathetic ground staff, no lounge access for business class passengers, delayed boarding, food that looked intriguing but was deceptively inedible, mask protocol moody at best. Have flown @vistara four times this week. Erratic on all metrics. Today’s #UK956 Ahd-Bom case is in point.” He accidentally tagged a woman instead of Vistara airlines. Her bio now says, ‘Not an airline’.”
“Shah Rukh Khan recently went down memory lane to revisit his Fauji days and how he got the lead role.

SRK said, “I went there. I auditioned and I was given a very sweet role in the whole Fauji serial, the Colonel orders me to go and count the crows on the tree. I would run and say, ‘There are four crows.’ This was my role in the whole seriel. I thought this was so strange, how could I tell my family that this was my role?’”

He then added that many things happened to him because of luck, as the Colonel’s son couldn’t handle the lead role and camerawork at the same time, so SRK was offered the lead instead.”
“Lastly,

That Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is all set to return in Drishyam 2 is old news. On Tuesday, the actor shared a bunch of old receipts which played a pivotal role in the plot of the first part.

It seems like Ajay is hinting that the teaser of Drishyam 2 is not that far away. The aforecited bills included a receipt from Ashok restaurant, a CD of Swami Chinmayananda Ji’s Maha Satsang dated October 2 and 3, tickets to a movie and a ticket from Panjim to Pondolem.

Ajay Devgn captioned the post, “Found some old receipts today.””

Like the first part, Drishyam 2 is a remake of the Mohanlal film with the same name. Mohanlal’s Drishyam 2 was released last year.”
