Indian Filmmaker Sudipto Sen has distanced himself from Nadav Lapid’s statement on ‘The Kashmir Files’ at the closing ceremony of the popular film festival, and said the Israeli filmmaker made the remarks in his “personal capacity”
Stating that all winners were chosen “unanimously”, Sen, a member of the International Competition section, said that after the meeting with the festival director, and the subsequent press conference, Lapid should not have shared his “personal opinion” at a “public platform” like the closing ceremony. He also admitted that they were proud of the selection, but were hurt by Nadav’s action.

“Meanwhile, Actor Anupam Kher took a pot-shot at IFFI jury chief Nadav Lapid’s comments about his film The Kashmir Files. He took to his Twitter account and shared a video with Israel’s Counsel General Kobb Shoshani, saying that their “friendship was too strong” to be threatened by “vulgar remarks”.
In the video, Anupam introduced Kobb, who said he had watched The Kashmir Files a year ago. The Consul General added that the first thing he did in the morning was to give a call to his friend, Anupam and apologise on behalf of the government of Israel, about the things that have been said about the film. He further added that Nadav’s comments had nothing to do with the Israeli government. “
“Actors Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi have joined the cast of Fighter. Grover took to Instagram and shared a photo with Akshay and director Siddharth Anand.
Grover captioned his post, “Thank you for having us on the team!..Excited..!””
The film starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles as Indian Air Force pilots is slated for release on January 25, 2024. The film has had several changes in its release date. It was earlier scheduled to release in September 2023. Before that, it was slated for a January 2023 release, clashing with Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. Both these films are directed by Siddharth Anand and feature Deepika in the lead role.”
“Moving on, the first trailer of Taapsee Pannu’s film Blurr, which is also produced by the actor, has been released. The movie is set in the hills where Taapsee’s character Gayatri is trying to find answers about her twin sister’s unfortunate death. The film also has Gulshan Devaiah, who plays Neel, Gayatri’s partner, in the movie. The trailer was released with a description that read, “With progressive blindness setting in, Gayatri has to find answers..””
Blurr is helmed by director Ajay Bahl and premieres on December 9th on ZEE5.”
“The Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla-starrer feel-good film Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman turned 30 recently and, its writer and associate director Manoj Lalwani spoke about the film
While chatting with Bollywood Hungama, Lalwani revealed that the film’s lead star Shah Rukh had celebrated his honeymoon while shooting for the movie. He had gotten married to Gauri in the middle of his shoot and celebrated his honeymoon in Darjeeling. The entire crew had also travelled to scenic Darjeeling to shoot the movie’s introduction bit. Lalwani further revealed that Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s honeymoon was paid for by the film’s makers. Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman also starred Amrita Singh and Nana Patekar in pivotal roles. “

“Actor Fatima Sana Shaikh, who was last seen in the Netflix thriller Thar, has been riding a high after being praised for her performance in the movie. However, even as Fatima celebrates her success, she still has to ensure she fills enough gaps between her projects due to her health condition.
Fatima had previously shared that she suffers from epilepsy, a neurological condition in which the brain undergoes a period of instability, therefore resulting in seizures and loss of consciousness.
She also admitted that she didn’t want people to think she was weak and realised that as a person going through this, it was her responsibility to tell producers that they have a person with this condition at work.”
