Veteran actor Shakti Kapoor almost quit Bollywood, thinking that his career was over after getting slapped on the sets of his 1983 film, Mawaali. On the latest episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, Shakti Kapoor revealed that for a sequence in the film, he was slapped by actors Kader Khan and Aruna Irani. The actor said he starred in Mawaali after the success of his first comedy film, Satte Pe Satta. Mawaali was headlined by Jeetendra, Sridevi and Jaya Prada. Kapoor said it was action director Veeru Devgan who came to his rescue at that time and offered him words of wisdom that he should continue with the film as it would benefit his career.
In an interview, Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor recently said that she is very keen on doing a South film and also opened up about the Southern actors she wants to collaborate with. Janhvi revealed that she wants to work with Vijay Sethupathi and Jr. NTR and also recalled an incident when she called Vijay after seeing his movie Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. She realized someone had his number and had called him up. She told him that she was a huge fan of his, and “if he ever had anything, she would audition for it” because she wanted to work with him. Bollywood star Aamir Khan recently admitted in an interview that he earned Rs 1,000 per month while he worked on his debut as a male lead in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.
