Flash: Apple is slow to adopt new technology, but only on iPhones

D

These are not just Apple, but some of the gadgets that have introduced with iOS 14, the file system that they have added in the past decade but are still useless today, and punch holes. They finally got rid of the notch and came up with a larger shaped pill which is still more distracting compared to Android and on top of that the dynamic island is eating up more screen real estate. So I think they are still overdue to offer cleaner less distracting screens.

D

GSMArena writes about the dynamics of spontaneous ecosystem abuse. Apple has a dominant position in phones in the priority market, so they use that to lock users into proprietary hardware. Meanwhile, they have to compete for market share on the PC, so they prove to be early adopters on “PC technology”.

Antitrust: It just works!

Samsung and Xiaomi will definitely copy the whole black Tylenol bracket.

UltraHD, 2 hours agoI think this article was unnecessary but ok, it will create more chaos between … moreAndroid helps everyone in the first place

The technology should be adopted and tested.

no

As mentioned, LCD screens also have AOD display capabilities.

Let’s not forget the LG G5, which effectively beat Samsung’s OLED version

But people think LCD doesn’t work as efficiently and people think LTPO is the only way they don’t know better and they underestimate how different technology is by nature.

But I guess what you can do is that if you oppose an idea, people will only listen to people who have the same opinion.

Trap themselves in the EC ho e chamber

One thing I like is that Apple has made true wireless headphones mainstream. Everything else about Apple is not good. Samsung will take it anytime. They have improved a lot.

Eshok, 1 hour agoIt is not “evidence” but “evidence”. Also, they confirmed as … moreYes they justify a price increase every year to add two or three pixels because they are Apple.

hmm, 1 hour agoOh, I don’t know, maybe they’ve done something to prove it over the years and decades? It is not “evidence” but “evidence”. Plus, like no other brand fans have confirmed. Your friend is not taking anything for granted here…

Eshok, 1 hour agoWhy does everyone accuse iPhone users of being dumb drones who only buy iPhones because of apps?Oh, I don’t know, maybe they’ve done something to prove it over the years and decades?

hmm, 1 hour agoIt doesn’t take much to satisfy Apple customers to say that all models are the best every year… moreWhy is everyone accusing iPhone users of being dumb drones for buying an iPhone because of the Apple logo and completely dismissing my point of consistency? I’m sure there are some, just like some will buy a Samsung regardless, but it’s about consistency. I don’t have to check many reviews to see if it’s good. That was never a question or concern. It is a consistent guarantee. It’s all up to the users to decide if it’s worth upgrading now (not if it’s better, but how much to spend). And with years of major software updates, maintaining that score is no problem.

Eshok, 2 hours agoBut is it really? There are many things you can’t hit big numbers on paper. They absolutely ruined the vibration motors on a few Samsung lines, I had an A52s (not the S line but still) and the vibration was a nightmare. Imagine using vibration for hand signals and it stops working after 5 minutes
The only way to fix it was to shake the entire device.
The main reason I switched to the Xiaomi 12 Lite was because of the vibration motor.
They are delivering huge numbers but fail in very basic things like vibration or speaker.

Eshok, 2 hours agoBut is it really? There are many things you can’t hit big numbers on paper. It doesn’t take much to satisfy Apple customers to say that all models are as good as the year they came out.

I am not a particular brand fan. I’ll take the cheapest side phones I’ve bought on release day or the month after and look for bang for the buck and hopefully more compact phones.

Also, I’m not bitter because the iphone cost more or something like that. I can afford them, but I don’t have the kind of mentality to throw money away without thinking. For me, my need for a phone and how I use a phone makes no sense to spend more than 250-300 euros on anything. 300 euros is the high point where I feel comfortable buying the phone when I go to the store and use the phone for 3-5 years or sometimes more. My Lumia 830 had a defective screen and lasted me less than 2 years so I bought it in 2010. Back in 2010, 1610 and when I was a big fan of Nokia in the Brick era, it was Nokia first.

Anonymous, 2 hours agoApple fans wait until Apple technology is complete: 5G, wireless charging… moreYes, Android File Manager is really cool, that’s why this cool meme about it is still floating around…

User: Hey Android, where do you store my files now?
ANDROID: lol, I don’t know

I’m sure you’ve connected your phone to a PC and experienced the horror of navigating the Android file system… but I’m sure, it’s so much better. Both were bad and potential, both have improved significantly recently…

Anonymous, 2 hours agoApple fans wait until Apple technology is complete: 5G, wireless charging… moreOh no, you beat them now, somehow that’s not the right point 🤦‍♂️

H

Isn’t that already known that Apple is waiting for the technology to be tested and the Android brands to fix it before calling it an innovation?

Also, the 3-month notch part is weird, since Apple didn’t start making the notch for the phones until 3 months before the phones were released. It will take a few years to do something like this and these features are only waiting for future models. Like when USB-C is added for 2025 phone models or something, it’s mandatory for the EU to release that port.

S

But is it really? There are a lot of things you can’t just slap numbers on a piece of paper and be proud of. For example, Taptic Engine. There is no measurable way to tell everyone that it is literally the best haptic feedback engine out there. time. Four points. Basically zero competition. And it has been continuously for years. Or speakers, sure, you can throw around a db of sound, but no one can handle how ridiculous they’ve sounded on every iPhone since time immemorial. It doesn’t matter what iPhone you take, it’s a warranty, not a wait. They weren’t throwing big numbers for cameras or displays. But can anyone point to an iPhone that says “the camera is bad” or “it had a bad display”? There isn’t just one. Everyone is whining about the XR’s 60Hz LCD 720p display just BS. It’s really great. At its best, if you can’t make out any pixels, it’s so bright, hand-held and viewable in almost any light, with exceptional viewing angles and color accuracy that won’t even put professional users to shame? Is that a “bad” display just because it’s not OLED or 100 million Hz? no. Or non-OLEDs on the iPhone 13 or 14 Pro. Of course, not all Fandroids can clock only 60Hz, but are those really bad displays? Hell no. He was always one of the best. Notice the trend? It’s not about throwing big numbers, it’s about consistently delivering high-quality components so people don’t need to read reviews about it. Unlike the 300 billion different Android phones out there that vary dramatically in quality even within the same product range, this is ridiculous.

I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to think about going to an Android phone next year and always thinking that sound will be good even on a brand X high-end phone because you’ve hacked it so many times. In terms of the quality of components between previous models. Or damage the vibration motors on the Galaxy S22. The basics are one of the most important things any reviewer can mention. I care about that. And that’s what iPhones have been good at for years and years. Consistency of improvements, even if they are small and take a long time.

I’ll have to see a review for the Galaxy S23 next year. For the iPhone 15 next year, I already know it will be really good. Because the iPhone 14 was good and the iPhone 13 was good and the iPhone 12 was good and the iPhone 11 was good. Again, notice the trend again? But I’m sure some resident joker will find a way to whine about some nonsense like themes and stupid icons, because that’s what everyone seems to think around here.

Wait until Apple’s technology is complete before Apple fans:/

5G, wireless charging, wireless charging, fast charging, AOD are all good.

Not to mention Apples file manager which has been around for 10 or more years and is still useless compared to Android.
