Former Georgia Tech defensive lineman Jordan Dominique enters transfer portal

A former Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket is back on the transfer portal.

Jordan Dominique transferred to Arkansas after spending the first part of his career with Georgia Tech. Dominique enters the portal after finishing tied for third in sacks this season with 7.5.

This is an interesting decision for Dominic. In the year He had a great season with the Razorbacks in 2021 and I expected him to be one of the leaders of the defense next season. I expect him to be pursued by teams as he is immediately eligible for a grad transfer upon his return to Portal and many teams need experienced pass rushers. Dominique had a career high 7.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles this season. He has 16.5 sacks.

Will Georgia Tech be interested in a reunion? I should think so. The Yellow Jackets are losing top pass rusher Keon White to the NFL and need help replacing that production. Dominique left when Geoff Collins was head coach and it was interesting to see if he would be interested in returning to Atlanta to play for Brent Key.

Georgia Tech has plenty of pass rushers who have played, but none with the proven production of Dominique. Let’s see if the Keys and Yellow Jackets staff show any interest in Dominique over the next two weeks.
