France’s Atos Tech Foundation says several players are looking at its work.


PARIS, Oct 24 (Reuters) – French technology consultancy Atos ( ATOS.PA ) said on Monday it had been approached by several players interested in buying its tech foundation business.

“Following rumors in the French press, since Atos presented its separation plan to CMD on June 14, the company confirms that it has been approached by several players looking to acquire the Tech Foundation business,” Atos said. press release.

“The likelihood of such a signal of interest resulting in a transaction is highly uncertain,” he added, without naming the parties involved.

Atos earlier this year reorganized its operations around three divisions, the Tech Foundation unit, which the company describes as nearing maturity, including functions such as data centers and business process outsourcing.

The two other segments are digital and big data and security, the latter of which has so far been seen as more attractive by the desire to control as much as possible.

Shares of the company rose 4.5% in premarket trading after the announcement.
