HopeMirror Foundation decided to do a particular function on the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day, and Hopemirror Foundation, in collaboration with Sarth Nethralaya and Prahar Optical, organized a free eye check-up for the needy in Dhansar village. In which they offered free eye check-ups for all and free spectacles to the destitute. Also decided to give discount on all eye surgeries to the needy.

 

When you meet Ramzan Shaikh, a 29-year-old, he would look like any other promising growing professional. But, unlike others, this young Civil Engineer has pledged to do something more in life through his NGO HopeMirror Foundation. Ramzan shaikh was initiated with a team of 2 members, which now has grown to a family of 100+. He is a passionate & determined individual with a positive approach & the will to change the world for betterment. He always dreamt about enhancing the quality of life for all by breaking the vicious cycle of poverty and social isolation and restoring hope for a better future.

 

When the pandemic struck people in 2020, he knew it was time to swing into action and help the needy.

During the lockdown, they worked the hardest. They posted their phone numbers on their Instagram page so that people could reach them if they needed help. They received numerous calls, and they did get to help a large number of people from various places such as Borivali, Thane, Kalyan, Panvel, Ulhasnagar, Mumbra etc.

 

Through this Foundation, they provide education to students who cannot afford the school fees. They adopt tribal kids so that they lead better life. The Foundation has also started an initiative, ‘Sakhi’ for widows and single mothers and are giving them skilled-based training such as making incense sticks. They help them with machinery and provide support to market their products with an aim to make them become self-reliant”.

 

Shaikh and his team help people from various walks of life through his Foundation. Rural development, tribal development, women’s empowerment, employment, and primary education (Shiksha) are some of their key agendas. They also support many old age homes and help them with things such as groceries, personal hygiene stuff etc. The Foundation has also distributed blankets and sanitary pads.

 

The HopeMirror Foundation organization undertakes various activities and helps the poor. Through this free Eye-Checkup campaign on the occasion of 75th independence day, Hopemirror Foundation helped the needy with their eye problems. All the villagers got the benefit of this campaign. Team HopeMirror Foundation decided that they would conduct monthly eye check-up campaigns in various villages and help the needy villagers suffering from eye-related problems.

 

“Dhansar is my native village, and I am pleased about this campaign organized by my team in Dhansar village and me. I will always try to do my best for my village.” Ramzan Shaikh, President of Hopemirror Foundation, said while speaking.
