Plates – Georgia Tech softball signee Jayden Gailey This year’s premier girls fastpitch high school All-American has been named, featuring the top 44 incoming freshmen in the Class of 2022, according to PGF. Gailey will compete in the senior game, which is comprised of recent high school graduates split into East and West rosters.
As a member of the East team, Gailey will face the West team in Huntington Beach, Calif., on Saturday at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on ESPNU.
Gailey comes from Lavonia, Ga., where she was a four-year letterwinner as a first baseman and pitcher at Franklin County High School. She is set to join the Yellow Jackets. Ranked as the No. 46 prospect and No. 6 first baseman in the nation in extra-inning softball, Gailey helped lead the team to a state championship in 2018 and regional championships in 2020 and 2021.
Coming into her senior season, the highly regarded recruit was named GACA State Player of the Year twice, Region Player of the Year, Region Player of the Year and GACA First Team All-State. Gailey previously competed in the 2021 GADC All-Star Games. In the Franklin County record books, Gailey entered her final high school season as the all-time leader in school history with 31 homeruns. The future Jacquet totaled 49 hits, 187 hits, 51 doubles, 154 RBI and 73 walks for a .510 average entering the spring in high school.
