A conversation with Moses Wright

Despite a tough summer league as a team, there were a few guys who surprised. Jaden Hardy showed some positive flashes. It was AJ Lawson. Special And got a two-way place with Minnesota Timberwolves. Another person who stood out? Moses Wright..

Moses Wright has signed a two-way contract with the Mavericks through the 2022 NBA season but hasn’t been able to play much with the big men. He spent most of his time with the Texas Legends in the G League where he dominated. During the G League regular season, Wright averaged a career-best 20 points and nine boards on a .562/.395/.657 shooting split.

After a killer collegiate career in which he was named the ACC Player of the Year in his senior season and a solid G League stint, Mavs fans had high hopes for Wright in the 2022 Las Vegas Summer League, but things didn’t start as planned. For a 23 year old man.
