For starters, product teams need to identify optimal activation metrics that focus on the right users – those who find the utility and are excited about your offering.

“This could be minutes of platform usage, the number of messages a user sends, how many people a user follows, the number of times a user personalizes their avatar, or anything else that signals how users find value in your product.”

Investors I spoke to recently are still open to good ideas, but when they come from founders who are working on product-market fit, it boosts their confidence.

Small improvements like tweaking onboarding processes or adjusting lifecycle emails can help you close your next round.
