SEATTLE – The Huskies close out its first road trip of the season as they face Long Beach State on Sunday at 1 p.m. from George Allen Field.

The Huskies (2-0-1) have recorded three straight clean sheets to start the season for the second time in three seasons. Washington is also receiving national ranking votes from the United Soccer Coaches in week one of play for the first time this season.

WASHINGTON-LONG BEACH STATE SERIES HISTORY

The contest marks the second meeting between the two programs. Last season, Washington and Long Beach State met up in Seattle where the game resulted in a 1-1 tie after two overtimes.

SUCCESS SO FAR
Karlee Stueckle is leading the team with two goals over the first three games of the season. The senior has set a single-season point total (5) with a pair of goals and an assist so far on the season. Hailey Still has also registered two goals this season.

Shae Holmes leads the team with two assists, while Stueckle, Kyla Ferry, Kala McDaniel, Kelsey Branson, Jace Holmes, Round Suliaf, Cori Sullivan and Summer Yates have all recorded an assist.

Washington is one of 26 teams nationally to not have allowed a goal so far on the season. The Husky defense has also allowed only nine shots with only three on goal, while the Washington offense has had 57 shots, 37 of which have been on goal.

INDIVIDUAL RECOGNITION
Fifth-year forward Summer Yates was added to the United Soccer Coaches Player Watch List. She was also named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List and ranked 23rd in the Top Drawer Soccer Top 100.

Freshman defender Round Suliaf was also recognized as a Top Drawer Soccer Preseason Freshman Best XI.

SCOUTING LONG BEACH STATE

Long Beach State enters the contest with a 0-1-2 record on the season. Falicia Jastre Hogberg, Summer Laskey and Lena Silano lead the team with three points on the year – all have a goal and an assist.

Morgan Houston-Shepherd and Zora Standifer have split time in goal, registering 13 saves between the two.
