University of Washington History Professor Margaret O’Mara – Author Cities of Knowledge: Cold War Science and the Future of Silicon Valley – will set the stage with some opening remarks about Seattle’s tech industry.

This will be followed by a panel discussion featuring three past honorees of the Seattle 10 program, a partnership between GeekWire and MOHAI over the past four years, that has recognized startups and startups in the region.

Joining us on stage Tuesday night are M3 Biotechnology CEO Lynn Kawas; Remitly CEO Matt Oppenheimer; and Textio CEO Kieran Snyder. We’ll discuss the intricacies and challenges of Seattle’s startup landscape, and discuss ways the region can do better in fostering entrepreneurship.
