As an actor, they look like games. Sims Do you want to enter someone else’s life?

I never thought about it, but it makes total sense. I am an entertainer. I will perform. It doesn’t seem too far off.

Sims It’s about world building. Is QTV part of your world building?

One hundred percent. That’s how I see myself. I see myself as a Sims behavior, but in many ways I see myself as planning things. I am very disciplined. Once I make up my mind about something, I follow through and figure out how to support it. As for QTV, it’s something I got serious about a year ago. I am very happy to have reached the launch stage. I look forward to continuing to build it. I want to introduce my community of fans who have always followed me—the Cake Palmer brand—to something that can be expanded beyond me personally.

It’s a battle for people’s attention these days. The marketplace is crowded. How does KeyTV cut through the noise?

So last year I was filming. is not, I think. I made a movie is not last year? Time went by so fast.

Our relationship with time is very strange now.

The timing is strange for me now because of covid. It was after Vivid’s height; We were still in the middle of the epidemic in terms of maintaining masks, but people were out. It was summer and it was filming is not. Personally and professionally, I was in a new place. I started to think Well, what can I do without myself? How can I come up with something that doesn’t just depend on me?

Was it an attempt to do something where they weren’t in the middle?

That’s the thing. As an entertainer, you’re constantly a workhorse – that’s not a bad thing – but it all ultimately depends on you. When you think about creating generational wealth or community wealth, you are trying to take whatever you started or have and expand it outward. I thought QTV could be its own voice for what I stand for: education, democracy and entertainment.

I want to do it [entertainment] We feel like they’re more accessible to people in our community, especially black and brown people, who maybe don’t have the immediate resources and access to the industry. I want to fix that gap.

QTV is just as much behind the camera as it is in front of it. After working in Hollywood for so long, have you ever seen such inclusion on set?

It depends. Every time I work on a Tyler Perry set, yeah. When I did Hospital Or Madea’s family reunion. There have always been a lot of black people. And that was before it became trendy. Now it has become something. When I was 11, 12 years old, nobody cared about hiring black. Anytime I stepped on a Tyler Perry product, everyone was black. That was the best thing. It was like attending a family reunion.
