Letter to the editor: Business owner offers tips for council seats

Letter to the Editor:

I have attended many candidate meetings and forums. There are two clear personalities that I know will be effective from day one.

They are current city clerk Zizzette Mullins and incumbent Sharon Springer. Both have been involved in public service for years.

Another reason is that Olive Ave is not safe from damage forever!

Although the current City Council voted 5-0 not to support the plan to eliminate 2 Metro Bus lines, the matter is far from over. The Metro Board, including Supervisor Kathryn Barger and Glendale City Councilman Ara Najarian, voted unanimously to oppose and oppose the mixed flow, which the council and staff approved.

Zizette Mullins supports safe, alternative and reliable transit because she opposes eliminating 2 lines because of the impact on local businesses and senior centers. Transportation advocate Sharon Springer opposes it for similar reasons.

I fear that many of the other candidates will fully embrace the Metro plan to our own detriment.
