Lubbock, Texas – Texas Tech fans hear live. Joey McGuire Just one week into his tenure as the Red Raider’s new head coach, August 26 will be when the Red Raider Club hosts its traditional kickoff luncheon at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.
The kickoff luncheon, sponsored by Reliant and its parent company NRG, returns to the Red Raider Club calendar to officially kick off the 2022-23 athletic season. This year, the Red Raider Club is partnering with the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce to host a grand kickoff event for the Lubbock community.
“We are proud to partner with the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and combine efforts to create a community-wide celebration of Coach McGuire’s first-ever Kickoff Luncheon,” he said. Andrea TyreSenior Associate Athletic Director.
Doors will open at 11:15 a.m. The event will begin shortly after at 12:00 p.m. Fans will be able to hear from both McGuire and the athletic director. Kirby Hocutt. It will be McGuire’s Kickoff Luncheon debut, leading the Red Raiders for the first time on Sept. 3 when Texas Tech hosts Murray State at Jones AT&T Stadium.
Admission is free to all fans in general seating areas. Space is limited and expected to sell out, so fans are encouraged to RSVP via this link. Reserved tables of eight can also be purchased at the link above for $750.
