Men’s Soccer Falls at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg


Blacksburg, Va.- The Longwood men’s soccer team lost to the Virginia Tech Hokies 4-0 on Tuesday in Blacksburg.

How it happened:

In the first half, Virginia Tech (1-5-1) was able to capitalize on the opportunities it created, netting all four of its first 45 goals. The Lancers (1-4-2) scored the first three and the last three of the half, but ultimately couldn’t find a way on the score sheet.


In the second half, they pushed up and down both sides in search of the net. The Hokies’ best chance came early in the game when Danny Flores volleyed in a cross from Lance.
