Mesquite Approves 235-Acre Retail Development – ​​NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth


Mesquite has approved a 235-acre development that will create approximately 180,000 square feet of retail and commercial space and 3.2 million square feet of industrial, commercial and logistics space.

City officials They expect to break ground on the development in early 2024.

“Our team is very excited to have the opportunity to work in the city of Mesquite. We see the potential of this area as one of the premier industrial/business parks along Interstate 20 in Dallas County,” said Sergio Izquierdo of 42 Real Estate.

Retail and industrial developments will be located in Solterra, a modern design with high-quality building materials and surrounded by 3,900 new homes, he said.

These areas include main road redevelopment, new sewer and water connections, and add jobs to the area for new residents.

The city’s location includes features such as highway visibility and access to nearly 1,500 miles of interstate highway connecting to Shreveport, Louisiana. Jackson, Mississippi; Atlanta, Georgia; and Columbia, South Carolina.
