Michigan Tech Career Fair attracts thousands of students

Houghton, Mich. (WLUC) – Michigan Tech students in Houghton had the opportunity to take the next step as professionals as the Michigan Tech Career Fair returned Wednesday.

Thousands of students had the opportunity to meet more than 370 employers from across the country at the Student Development Center on Wednesday afternoon. This was Michigan Tech’s first in-person career fair since the outbreak. With strong participation, Michigan Tech Career Services staff say this is a great time to start a career.

“People are hiring and it’s a great time to be a Husky. Our placement rate is one of the highest in the country, 93 percent placement rate, and the companies here are hungry for Michigan Tech talent and this is a great time for our students to get back into the industries and with these companies. To have these one-on-one conversations,’ said Cody Kangas, MTU’s executive director of corporate and foundation relations.

This is Michigan Tech’s largest career fair.
