Actress Mouni Roy is currently busy raking praises for her performance in recently released fantasy drama ‘Brahmastra’. She played the main antagonist in this movie and mesmerised the audience with her evil and sinister screen presence. Amidst all this, Mouni opened up about one actress who impressed her the most in recent years.
According to a recent report in ETimes, the actress stated, “My favourite film in recent times has been Gangubai Kathiawadi. I loved everything about that film…the script, the performances. The one actor I loved the most in the film was Alia Bhatt, she was so good! It was a treat to see her perform on screen.”
When asked whether she’ll ever want to lead a film like Alia, Mouni said, “Why not? I will pray to get such a film. In fact, I have been reading a lot of interesting scripts of late. I am just keeping my fingers crossed.”
During her appearance at Filmfare red carpet, Mouni shared that she loves the idea of being a pan Indian star. She told Bollywood Times, “Yes, isn’t it great to be known across all cities, villages and states? From east, west, north to south we have so many stories to tell. Our culture is way too diverse and we have so much to offer. So, it is great to make pan-Indian movies and be known across India.”
