MY PERFECT TRAVEL STYLE FOR 2023

[ad_1]

I feel like travel is really picking up in 2023! I eased back into it last year, but I feel like my travel calendar is already overflowing this year. I’m heading to California this week and it got me thinking about some of the tried and true pieces I love to travel with and the accessories I can’t live without. From oversized scarves to the perfect travel bag, today I’m highlighting some of my on-the-go favorites.

A favorite travel bag

This bag remains one of my favorite travel companions. It’s lightweight, holds a TON, has a specific sleeve to go over your luggage, is easy to clean, and has so many interior pockets. Seriously, they just thought of everything. Years ago I bought one in the navy and it continues to be the bag I reach for again and again for future trips.

AN ENLARGED SCARF

I am always cold when traveling – even in the summer! A large cashmere scarf that doubles as a blanket is a total lifesaver on any flight. Believe it or not, I still travel with the oversized scarf from my Nordstrom collection (see how I styled it here and here ), but I also love this one and this one !

A PAIR of comfortable shoes

Overdressing is my MO, but when it comes to travel I tend to tone it down a bit. It all starts with comfortable shoes, a must for me when I travel. I usually either wear these packs that you know I love, these sneakers, or a pair of Chanel ballet flats. I’m always switching it up, but lately they’ve been my shoe of choice when I’m on the road!

A GREAT ONE, GO WITH ANY BLAZER

I try not to bring a big coat on flights because it can become such a hassle (you know, unless it’s really cold at my destination). Instead, I opt for a more substantial blazer or third piece that is warm enough without being bulky. I still get a lot of wear out of this blazer (which I got during Nordstrom’s anniversary sale), but I’ve also been loving this blazer , this blazer , and this quilted jacket !

ACCESSORY ADD-ONS

Not *really* fashion related, but I have a few accessories that I can’t travel without. With so many bags getting lost, I use AirTags for peace of mind. They easily and accurately track my bags so I know exactly where they are if they happen to be left behind by a carrier. Another Apple product I swear by: the newest version of their lighting cable. Charges your phone up to 50% in just 30 minutes! My phone is always dying and I’m not organized enough to pull out an external battery so this super charger has been a game changer. Also, I never used luggage tags until someone made off with my bag (accidentally!) at an airport in Paris. Now, I always make sure I have these in each of my bags, including my carry-on, in case it needs to be checked at the gate for some reason.
