This innovative new app developed by India’s social media app aims to reimagine the entire social media landscape ensuring data privacy and security without ads.

MYn, an app made in India from Bangalore startup, Multi-Verse Technologies, aims to reimagine the social media landscape. It enables consumers to discover, create, connect and communicate through a secure end-to-end encrypted system. Additionally, the app is committed to creating an ad environment that refreshes the social media experience with irrelevant interruptions.

Tech Panda Nanjunda Prasad Ramesh, CEO of Plurality Technologies, spoke about the startup’s vision of ensuring data privacy and data security in their social media apps.

Our goal is to have the only app a user needs, and possibly our own operating system, on a phone that ships to MN.

“MYn promises 100% digital privacy. We do not share the user’s phone number or any personal information inside or outside the app. We only collect it to help the user manage their account easily. We have no ads on the app. Therefore, we do not need to share the user’s phone number or any personal information,” he said.

“Our monetization model doesn’t require user data. We charge live local/proximity e-commerce entities, content creators for their channels and jobber enterprises a fixed listing fee. That’s where our revenue comes from,” he added.

What do they do?

MYn has its own infrastructure. With a promise of 100% digital security, MYn has deployed a 24×7 content and application monitoring and incident response team that has effectively and efficiently protected many organizations in India.

The goal was to provide good quality content that users would want to consume.

MYn plans to address all the inherent challenges in the current social media landscape. It provides complete user privacy, does not share user information, has no annoying ads or imposes any commission, unlike other social media apps.

“This is a one-of-a-kind app that someone can truly call their own,” says Ramesh.

On MYn, users can browse content according to their needs. They can choose from categories like Fashion, Beauty, Sports, Comedy, Art etc., ie use only what works for them.

As humans, we behave differently in different settings. We present a distinct personality in public, private and work life. So we have created individual dedicated spaces for each of them on the app.

“The goal was to provide users with good quality content that they want to consume,” he added.

Motivation and origin

MYn founder AS Rajgopal had a vision to unify the functionality of all apps.

“Essentially, most applications, whether social media, e-commerce, messaging, storage, payments or workplace collaboration, offer or combine discovery, interaction and transactions in different contexts. He believed that with MYn we could encapsulate all these in a benefit-agnostic way,” says Ramesh.
