EA Elektro-Automatik, a global technology company, has opened its new technology and training center in Troy to provide product demonstrations, training and pre-purchase testing to automotive companies nationwide.

“We are pleased to offer our customers a convenient way to test our products and software tools or participate in hands-on demonstrations and training,” said Eric Turner, Americas Director of EA Elektro-Automatik. “Our new center provides a powerful way to showcase our strengths and capabilities to better serve the rapid electrification research and manufacturing growth in our region.”

EA Elektro-Automatik offers advanced energy testing technology that sets it apart from its competitors. The company’s units offer improved power density of up to 15 kW in a 3U and 30 kW in a 4U package. In addition, EA bidirectional units offer best-in-class energy recovery, greater than 96 percent, and the ability to generate less heat, noise and operating costs, resulting in faster ROI.

The center offers a state-of-the-art test demonstration lab for in-person training and testing, as well as a video demonstration lab for customers to test a variety of power supplies and software tools. Video demos are run by application engineers and have up to six cameras for multiple views. Appointments for the video screening lab can be booked as quickly as two days.

While the center expects to serve the domestic automotive industry, international customers and prospects are encouraged to come to the center for training and pre-purchase inspection needs.

National growth in electric vehicles, alternative energy technology and energy storage has expanded applications for EA customers, driving demand for advanced test equipment.

“We’ve partnered with a number of renewable energy companies to help them test demanding energy applications,” says Turner. “The new center will increase our ability to create long-term partnerships with these companies that will help us advance their technology to achieve their goals of growth and sustainability.”

EA Elektro-Automatik is planning future expansion of the center to accommodate the growing demand for technology in DC power supply testing.
