With Week 2 in the NFL officially in the books and a lot to look forward to with Week 3, there is plenty to see what former Virginia Tech football players are up to at the professional level. With so much maroon and orange scattered around the league, there continues to be a chance to see plenty of fall hockey action on Sundays.

T. Logan Thomas
Washington’s Logan Thomas has received a warm welcome in the tight end class since arriving in the nation’s capital ahead of the 2020 campaign. Sunday afternoon in Detroit was no different.
Despite the Chiefs’ narrow 36-27 loss at Ford Field, Thomas hauled in three passes for 37 yards and a touchdown. In 2022, the former Tech quarterback found the end zone for the first time and chose to do so while facing his former team.

Thomas, cornerback Kendall Fuller and placekicker Joey Sly will all look to bounce back this weekend when the burgundy and gold play host to Philadelphia for a crucial NFL East matchup. Kickoff is set for 1 pm ET and can be seen on FOX.
LB Divine Deablo
Divine Deablo makes its debut in the 2022 season. The former standout safety for the maroon and orange continues to transition nicely to the linebacker position at the NFL level, a skill that was on full display Sunday afternoon.
The 2021 third-round draft pick had 15 total tackles in last weekend’s overtime loss to Arizona in Las Vegas, and continues to prove why he’s a solid piece in the Raiders’ back seven.
Deablo and company will look to get back on track this Sunday, traveling to Tennessee to face Caleb Farley in the Titans for 1 pm kicks. The game will be televised on FOX.
S. Chuck Clark
Safety Chuck Clark made his second appearance in notable performances after another impressive weekend in which he locked down the secondary for the Baltimore Ravens.
The 6-foot-200-pounder scored six total tackles in the Purple and Black’s heartbreaking 42-38 loss to Miami last Sunday in Charm City. His professional work.
Next up for Baltimore, a trip to Foxborough to meet New England. The game will be shown at 1pm and can be found on CBS.
Thursday, September 22
Pittsburgh at Cleveland – 8:15 p.m. ET – Amazon Prime Video
Week 3 officially begins Thursday night when Terrell Edmunds and the Steelers take on Cleveland at Wyatt Taylor and the Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium.
Edmunds had four total tackles in Pittsburgh’s loss to New England a week ago, with three coming on his own. Teller, a 2021 Pro Bowler, hasn’t missed a snap this season for a Cleveland team that has the highest hopes in the AFC North.
It’s still early, but with each and every matchup playing a big role in the divisional race, don’t be surprised if these two Hokies have a big say in who takes the first meeting between these two foes.
Sunday, September 25
Houston at Chicago – 1 pm – FOX
Second-year running back Khalil “Juice” Herbert and the Chicago Bears will be looking to get back on track when the team hosts Houston this coming weekend.
After recording a touchdown last week, the 2021 sixth-round draft pick followed that up by running for 38 yards on four carries in Chicago’s Sunday night loss to Green Bay at Lambeau Field. Even if a win doesn’t come, Herbert continues to play a big role in the Bears’ backfield early in the 2022 campaign, and could be a key piece in a potential run in the NFC North.
Kansas City at Indianapolis – 1 p.m. – CBS
Cornerback Brandon Faison had a good day at the office for the second straight week in the Colts’ loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon.
The former Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders collected four total touchdowns in the 24-0 loss, but he’ll get another chance to prove his worth in his first season in Indianapolis. Luke Estate And the rest of the Colts will host Kansas City in the team’s 2022 home opener.
Buffalo at Miami – 1 p.m. – CBS
Star linebacker Tremaine Edmonds, defensive tackle Tim Settle and the Buffalo Bills will look to add to their early season dominance when they travel to South Florida this weekend to take on the Miami Dolphins.
In the year Edmunds, a former first-round pick in 2018, added four total tackles last Monday in Tennessee’s 41-7 loss, three of which came alone on the team. And while Settle was forced to miss the game due to a nagging calf issue, the former Washington standout looks set to return Sunday to join his former Tech teammate on Buffalo’s defense.
Detroit at Minnesota – 1 pm – FOX
Beginner tight end James Mitchell He still looks to make his NFL debut when the Lions travel north to Minneapolis against former college teammate Christian Dariso and the Minnesota Vikings.
In the year Darrisow, a former first-round pick in 2021, played every snap in his team’s 24-7 loss to Philadelphia on Monday Night Football. And with the top-level pedigree the 6-foot-5, 315-pounder already has at the professional level, expect Darisau to be a major contributor for the Vikings during the 2022 campaign.
New Orleans at Carolina – 1 pm – FOX
Defensive end Amare Barno is eyeing to make his NFL debut this coming weekend when the Carolina Panthers play host to the New Orleans Saints.
A sixth-round pick in last year’s NFL Draft, Barno will serve as a nice depth piece for the Panthers after a successful 2019-21 career with the Hokies. And with the playmaking abilities of the Blythewood, South Carolina native, don’t be surprised if he gets a shot for his hometown team in the near future.
Running back Rahim Blackshear He’s also ready to get his first real shot at the NFL level. The former two-year starter for the Maroons and Orange was recently signed by Buffalo’s practice squad in Carolina.
LA Rams at Arizona – 4:25 p.m. – Fox
The Cardinals and Lecitus Smith Look to continue their winning ways when they welcome the Los Angeles Rams to State Farm Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Another sixth-year draft pick last April, Smith has made his way to the gridiron eight times so far this season, and he’ll look to contribute again with Arizona as early as 2022 to secure a big NFC West win.
Green Bay at Tampa Bay – 4:25 p.m. – Fox
Former Tech offensive lineman Yosh Nijaman and the Packers will look to win their second straight game against the Buccaneers as Green Bay heads down to Tampa Bay.
Much like his former teammate Teller, Nijman hasn’t missed a beat offensively so far this year, going from nice piece to role player to full-time starter in his fourth season in the NFL. Very impressive, especially for a former undrafted free agent.
Monday September 26
Dallas at NY Giants – 8:15 pm – ABC/ESPN
Tyrod Taylor and the New York Giants continue to impress after starting the 2022 campaign 2-0.
A former starting signal caller at four different stops, the Tech icon remains ready for the occasion when the Giants host Dallas in an NFC East matchup.
