Orshchenkova picked up the first career victories as a Red Raider


Fort Worth, Texas Hot man Arina Orshchenkova She soared her first singles and won the second day of the Scarlet and Black at the TCU Invitational.

The Brooklyn, N.Y. native scored a nice win over Tarleton’s Elsa Boisson in the first. The Red Raiders won the first set 6-1, before dropping the next set by the same score. The freshman was undeterred as she allowed her opponent to score four points in a 10-4 super sweep in the third and pick up her first victory against the Red Raiders.

Oreshchenkova was paired with her teammate, Camryn Steph, for double. The Tech duo came out firing as they beat Tarleton State’s Boysen and Emma Person 6-3.

Yekaterina Dmitrichenko She continued her winning streak for the Red Raiders as she collected another singles win in the tournament. Dmitrichenko defeated Persson 6-3, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3, against Tarleton.

Tech will conclude tournament play tomorrow with singles matches against the SMU student-athletes at 11:00 a.m., followed by doubles at approximately 12:45 p.m.
