“I think her clothes were amazing,” said one admirer of the Queen’s fashion sense.

A mourner in London said: “I’m just looking for every detail and she was always right, she always looked amazing, didn’t she?”

A woman 7News spoke to in London says she once worked in a fashion fit for the Queen.

“After the assembly I would sew the pieces – I was very young then – so I would sew the garments and take the less important pieces,” she says. “It was good, it was good.”

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour reflected on sitting next to the Queen at a British designer’s show in 2018. Wintour’s statement reveals that Queen Elizabeth once walked the catwalk, writing:

The British Fashion Council says there will be a worldwide celebration in London in October to honor the Queen’s influence on creativity and design.
