Abilene, Texas – The Texas Tech cross country team completed its season opener, with the men taking second overall while the women finished fourth Friday night on the ACU cross country course.
“It was a great start to the season. Both teams have been working hard and enjoyed competing against other runners,” said the cross country coach. John Murray he said. “There were a few positives in this tournament, and I’m encouraged by what I saw. Freshmen are eager to continue learning.”
Tech’s men scored 51 points and the women scored 85 points. Hot man Trey Laser He led the way in eighth (18:47.90). Matthew McKee (18:50.40) and Samuel Ashley (18:51.40) 8-9-10 finish for Tech. Demetrius Guerrero (19:03.50) And Jaden Tumale (19:14.0) completed the result 14Th and 15Threspectively.
Hot man Hannah Spears (14:51.10) led the way for the top 10 women.Th While Taylor Limbaugh (14:51.80) was 11 behind her.Th. Adele Clarke (15:07.50) scored third for TTU who came in 16.Th such as Sidney George (15:49.0) And Emmeline Mangham (15:49.80) finished with 26 pointsTh And 27Threspectively.
Texas Tech returns to action on Sept. 17 when the Red Raiders host the TTU Open beginning at 8:15 a.m. at Chaparral Ridge Cross Country Course (Lubbock Christian).
