Rohan Sachdev Men’s Tennis – Men’s Tennis – Georgia Tech has joined the Yellow Jackets.


The plates – Georgia Tech men’s tennis recruits Rohan Sachdev Bayer men’s tennis head coach Kenny Thorne announced the roster through 2022-23. A blue-chip, five-star recruit out of high school, Sachdev played his freshman season at Purdue.

“We are excited to bring Rohan to Georgia Tech,” said Thorne. He has the grit and collegiate experience to fit our hard-working culture, both off and on the court. We are very happy with the season and Rohan will definitely contribute to our success.

During the 2021-22 season, Sachdev appeared in all 24 doubles matches as a Boilermaker. In fall tournament action, the Cary, N.C., native went 10-6 in singles action and 6-6 overall in doubles play, including a 3-0 record with teammate Athel Bennett at the Purdue Fall Invitational. In doubles, Sackdev went 13-9 in singles, posting a 5-3 record at No. 5 and 6-4 at No. 6. He also went 1-1 in the spring, collecting 6-. 4 decision against Julen Morgan in St. Louis.

Sakdev attended Enlo Magnet for his prep year and was ranked No. 31 in the country by the Tennis Recruiting Network, No. 2 in the Tennis RPI and No. 12 in the Men’s 18 USTA National Rankings. In his USTA career, Sachdev won 37 singles titles and 13 doubles titles, reaching 77 finals. Highlights of his USTA career include defeating UTR’s World No. 1 collegiate player Alexis Gallarne and capturing the 2019 Kalamazoo Boys 16s National Hard Court Championships.

He also helped lead Enloe Magnet to the NCHSAA Class 4A dual team state championship his freshman season. During the 2019-21 season, Sachdev posted a 47-17 record in singles play, 5-3 against blue chip recruits and 41-12 against their opponents.

Sachdev joins the recruitment department Robert Bauer (Laurel Springs High School/Suwanee, Ga.) and Elias Shokri (Georgia Communications Academy/Marietta, Ga.)
