The San Diego Foundation welcomed two new board members, a banking executive and a technology CEO.

Xiomara Arroyo and Alessandra Lezama started their contract on July 1. The San Diego Foundation’s Board of Governors is comprised of volunteers with diverse professional backgrounds, who are involved in community and philanthropic activities throughout the region.

“Our board and staff welcome Xiomara and Alessandra to our foundation family and we are grateful for their service,” said Mark Stewart, president and CEO of the foundation. Their diverse experiences and backgrounds strengthen our leadership and impact as we pursue fair, just and resilient communities for all San Diegans.

A graduate of Cal State San Marcos, he is currently the board chair of San Diego Habitat for Humanity and a member of the President’s Advisory Council at CSUSM.

Lezama founded TOOTriS, a childcare technology platform that helps parents find, book and pay for childcare in real time. Her awards include the “Dream Big – Minority Small Business of the Year Award” from the US Chamber of Commerce and the “Moving San Diego Forward Award” from the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. She also serves as a member of the board and management council of the state council.
