We are still waiting for Sasha Banks & Naomi to return to WWE television. After reports that the Nick Khan/Stephanie McMahon/Triple H regime made peace with the disgruntled former Women’s Tag Champions, the conventional wisdom was that they would return after the tournament to crown their successors. Well, that happened almost two weeks ago and we’re still waiting…
However, there is one Boss ‘n’ Glow sighting to report. Fresh looking amazing and generally being awesome it-Hulk Red carpet, Banks (Mercedes Varnado) and Naomi (Trinity Fatu) hit the runway at New York Fashion Week, the twice-yearly presentation of new collections from major designers.
Titus O’Neil’s latest tweet and Instagram reveal that the pair have been hooking up with some WWE friends while in the Big Apple this week, but even that doesn’t give us much indication of their future plans.
Some comments that Sasha made during a recent appearance in the episode of Ahch-To Radio: A Star Wars Podcast that fell yesterday (September 9) can however:
“There’s so much I’m creating now. It’s all under one umbrella. Like I said, I’m an actor, model, writer, producer and entertainer extraordinaire, so all within those areas – I’m doing something. So you just have to stay tuned, stay tuned.
“But you have a microphone, that’s a big thing I want to do. Not podcasting, but music… I don’t know if that’s the other number one thing, because acting — there’s a lot that comes with acting now. I’m really starting to focus my mind around music, and that realm of music and being kind of a director in a space of making kind of a music video.”
Obviously, the main focus of a Star Wars podcast interview will be on Banks/Varnado’s role as Koska Reeves in The Mandalorian, so it’s only natural that she would tease acting work more. There’s a lot of wrestling talk in the episode, and Sasha certainly doesn’t seem to be shy about that part of her career. Will she have to squeeze him around modeling, acting and directing the music video?
Time will tell. For now, let’s just say that both women looked amazing in NYC this week.
