SBA Seeks Maine Nominations for National Small Business Week 2023 – Knox County Village SOAP


AUGUSTA — Do you or someone you know have what it takes to be America’s “Small Business Person of the Year” for 2023? If so, the US Small Business Administration wants to hear from you.

The SBA Maine District Office is ready to accept the 2023 National and District Small Business Week Awards, the annual Small Business Person of the Year award.

Visit SBA’s dedicated website at sba.gov/nsbw to download forms, qualifications and instructions for submitting nominations. Maine District nomination guidelines and categories for district awards are available on the district’s website at sba.gov/me.

SBA awards presented during National and District Small Business Week include:

Small Business Person of the Year (National and District)
Small Business Exporter (National and District)
Jeffrey Butland’s Family-Owned Business of the Year (District)
Minority-Owned Small Business of the Year (District)
Veteran-Owned Small Business of the Year (District)
Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year (District)
Micro Enterprise of the Year (Province)
Young Entrepreneur of the Year (District)
Small Business Producer of the Year (District)
Home-Based Business of the Year (District)
Financial Services Champion of the Year (Province)

“We are excited to once again take advantage of the opportunity to recognize the many wonderful small businesses in Maine,” said Diane Sturgeon, Maine District Director. “These business owners do a lot to support their community, and we’re happy to show our support in return.”

The Maine District Office must receive all electronic submissions of nominations to the district’s BOX account only by 3pm on December 8th.
